This is Gladys. She lives next door to my dad and has a dog named Gertie and a husband named Les. She brings the mail over every day and one time she brought my dad a bottle of whiskey for Christmas and he gave it to me because he doesn’t appreciate her or love her at all; the bottle of whiskey turned out to be a $150 bottle of whiskey and I cherished and appreciated it.
Gladys lives a life of suffering. She has Alzheimer’s, and all she wants is someone to talk to. Les just yells at her, and Gertie doesn’t understand her because she’s a dog. When she was 13 years old she got an eye infection but she was too poor and her parents didn’t love her enough to take her to the doctor. Weeks later her older brother came to visit and as soon as he saw her he took her to the hospital. Unfortunately it had gone too long without medial attention so they had to take out her eye and replace it with a glass one.
We need to raise awareness for Gladys. Her parents didn’t love her so she escaped into the arms of Les… and now he doesn’t love her but the only escape she has is my dad’s house. If you can reblog a picture of a cat dressed like the pope, you can certainly reblog this. It only takes a few clicks.
